Bel looks so scheming in the last panel oml

( also, this kinda weirdly reminds me of full Metal Alchemist? It's a compliment lmao )

:D i take no ofense to that comment. fMA is actually my favorite manga of all time! But im curious what About Lone reminds you of FMA. Story, character, or art?

@Meloh: Well, the style to an extent, and I feel like Bel's attitude reminds me a little of Ed, lmao

Oh weird

Demons will be demons xD

Probably a bit confusing to her, seeing as how she routinely messes up on the most basic spells in her magic lessons
Meloh June 10th, 2018, 8:38 pm
Exactly Dracone. Who would need a person that can’t use magic correctly when there’s a whole school of people that can xD

@Meloh:
The only reason I can think of, which can be a bit nebulous, is they are after her for her potential. It's not uncommon to see stories of seemingly exceptional individuals in a particular field be the worst at that same discipline when they started out or were much younger. One of my favorite Manga/Anime has a character like this, History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi(good series, I recommend checking it out if you already haven't). Kenichi, the primary protagonist of the series, is repeatedly shown and stated to literally have no talent whatsoever for martial arts, but is also shown throughout the series to be able to defeat other martial arts practitioners that are supposedly at his level of training, sometimes higher, due to all the training he's received and repeated practice of the techniques he's been taught. Of course, a lot of his training is beyond the norm, possibly into the hellish level, but pretty much all of it is actually within the realm of possibility in the real world. What some of his masters have been shown to do, not so much.

Just because you don't have a talent for something doesn't mean you can't become an exemplar of that very thing you have no talent for. Of course, in Lone's case she hasn't been shown to be putting in that extra effort when it comes to training and practice.

I havent watch kenichi yet Dracone, but i have heard of it. Need to watch it now though after you sold it to me.

Lone definitely havent hit her potential yet. Magic in this world is exactly as you said, the more effort and time you put in, the better the outcome. They probably see the potential she have and not her current level.

@Meloh: You'll get a lot more from reading the manga. The anime, all 50 episodes of it, only covers up to the end of the Ragnarok arc, the first major arc of the series.
